Client A
39-year-old alcoholic individual. This client completed multiple 28-day rehabilitation programs over the past fifteen years from Florida to California. He resided at the La Paz House for one year. Followed the directions of our medical staff, attended daily meetings and was an active member in the residence.
Currently this client is now married and expecting his first child. He and his wife are both sober, continue to attend daily 12 step meetings and are active members in their community.
Client B
26-year-old individual began using drugs and alcohol at the age of fourteen. He struggled with multiple trauma issues and bi-polar disorder. He was raised in a substance abusing nuclear family.
He came to the La Paz House from a ten-day medically monitored detoxification program. Suboxone was titrated over a 60 day period. The client attended daily NA & AA meetings, weekly psychotherapy sessions as well as an intense yoga regimen.
He has recently become a certified Yoga instructor and continues daily meetings. He is free of all mind altering substances and continues to have daily contact with our staff while living an independent lifestyle.
Client C
42 year old individual alcoholic. Client had recently moved to South Florida from the Midwest looking for a geographic cure. This client was referred by a local criminal defense attorney, who was representing client for white-collar crime issues. Client was depressed and unable to stop consuming alcohol on a daily basis.
He began a daily regimen of medications including Antabuse. He attended daily sessions of individual therapy and once weekly family sessions with his wife. Client continues to attend daily AA meetings and is in contact with La Paz therapists and doctors on a weekly basis.
